“No prayer is ever lost, or any prayer ever breathed in vain. There is no such thing as prayer unanswered or unnoticed by God, and some things we see as refusals or denials are simply delays.” Horatius Bonar
Dear Mr. Bonar,
There was a time in my life when I would’ve disagreed with you. And there is a devil’s advocate in me who still plans on writing a book entitled Unanswered Prayers, but I like your conviction. I need your conviction. Thank you for this hopeful quote. I’m experiencing the truth of it even as I type. I’m living a “yes” to a prayer I thought was denied.
I pray your quote will bless my friends reading this post today. We need encouragement as we continue to pray.
Thanks, Horatius.
Blessings,
The Bite of Bread
Enjoy every bite of encouragement to pray. Light a candle, grab a journal and pen, a cup of something warm is a must and of course…your Bible and Bite of Bread. I’m reading and journaling and praying with you. Much love!
Do you think there is such thing as an unanswered prayer? Leave a comment. I’d love to hear your thoughts–especially if you do.

I’m so sorry, Jan. I know how desperately you want to walk again. I will be praying for you.
