Mommy Moment

The frost on the cars scream, It’s cold outside! Yet I’m taking my son to the ocean this morning to go surfing. In the past we’ve gone snow skiing on this national holiday.

Not Drew, just a picture of a random dude.

It’s Martin Luther King Jr. day. A vacation day for many. Funny how doing things you want to do are much greater incentive to get up early than going to school. Drew was up 30 minutes earlier than on a normal day. Wet-suit on. Water bottle ready. Breakfast inhaled.

Am I crazy allowing him to do this? When is this motherhood thing going to get easier? I hate these decisions.

But something inside tells me to let him go.

So I pray.

Anybody else have these moments when you have to let go and let God? How do you know when to say yes and when to say no? (It doesn’t have to be a parenting situation.)

I’ll let you know how it goes and if he is sick tomorrow. (smile) Thanks for your prayer!

Much Grace and Peace to all of us!

This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it! Psalm 118:24
