I find myself praying the same prayers over and over again mostly for safety, health, wisdom, and to be used by God. These prayers aren’t for me most of the time. I pray them for my children.
Sometimes it’s hard to know what to pray for others, isn’t it?
[tweetability]Do you struggle with praying the same prayer over and over as I do?[/tweetability]
I also wrestle to find words to help me praise God. I mean, it’s easy to say, “I worship you, Jesus! I love you and praise you!” But those words seem lacking.
How do we find words to praise a God like Him?
What can help us pray for our children and loved ones beyond the daily laundry list–the broken records of requests– as well as find adequate words to praise God?
I found a great resource. . .
I like to use verses from the Bible to pray. I turn the scriptures into a prayer.
The Bite of Bread this week will help us pray for our loved ones. But you can also use these scriptures to pray for you. Toward the end of the week, the daily bites will give us words to use to praise and worship God and Jesus in our prayers.
Gather your journal and Bible. Grab a pen and pour some coffee. Turn these verses into prayers, and write them down. There is something powerful, weighty, and eternal about praying this way.
The “Bites” will also be posted on our Fellowship page.
May He hear your prayers!
And may Christ be glorified in our lives. Amen.
Jesus Loves You,
