God's love, thankfulness

What Language do you Speak?

Thankfulness is not some sort of magical formula; it is the language of Love, which enables you to communicate intimately with Me. A thankful mind-set does not entail a denial of reality with its plethora of problems. Instead, it rejoices in Me, your Savior, in the midst of trials and tribulations. I am your strength, an ever present and well-proved help in trouble (Jesus Calling, p.341).

Confession: I am coveting this sentence. I wish I could claim authorship! It’ genius. But I have a feeling Sara Young wouldn’t claim it as her words; its truth has the fingerprints of the Holy Spirit all over it. She was the conduit of grace. And we are the benefactors.

Thankfulness is the language of love. It’s not a religious “have to.” You may have to start your thankfulness out of obedience, but pray for it to flow out of a heart of appreciation. I find that when I start listing my blessings, my heart does swell with love to the One who gives and takes away with my future in mind. To the One who is BIGGER than cancer, Alzheimer’s, lupus, mito-chondrial disease, mental illness, debt, depression, grief…….

Love on your Heavenly Father today.

Love on Jesus today.

Love on Holy Spirit as you meet with Him today.

If you are breathing, you have reason to give thanks. (Smile)

I love my readers. Thank you for hanging out with me a little bit each week.

I’m praying for you.

Grace and peace,
andy

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever (Psalm 107).
That’s a pretty good track record and incredible promise.
