“We continually thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 1:3)
1. Work produced by faith. What does that look like? How many of us work out of own strength rather than faith? How would our work look different if it were birthed out of faith?
2. Labor prompted by love. How different it is to labor out of love rather than obligation or demand.
3. Endurance inspired by hope in Jesus. I love this sentence. Jesus is the ultimate inspiration. Everything else is temporary.
I thank my God for you. I pray for you. I want to encourage you today to ask our God and Father for a greater portion of fruit producing faith, a greater measure of love, and inspiration from Christ to endure to the end. Jesus holds our crowns.
