Clear Road Sign

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess His name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others for with such sacrifices God is pleased (Hebrews 13:15).

I read this scripture before turning the light off last night, and  I made a mental note to revisit it in the morning.

I have a Bible upstairs beside my bed and one downstairs on my desk. Guess where my downstairs Bible opened this morning. Yep. Hebrews 13:15. Different Bibles. No bookmarks. Hebrews.

Wow. I love when God does that! I need really clear road signs. And today, I got one!

Last night there was a tug in my spirit as I read this verse, a tug that said, “Use this tomorrow for the post.” Sometimes I’m skeptical of my tugs, but not when they are confirmed so clearly.

Somebody needs Hebrews 13:15 today. Maybe that somebody is me.

This scripture is about worship. Not just “singing” worship but worship with hands and feet that give to others. Sacrifice not of bulls and rams, but “doing good and sharing with others” sacrifice.

So many ways to worship.

Listen to the proddings of the Spirit today. He may be encouraging you to give something away. Your time. Your money. Your smile…….

Much grace and peace,

andy
