In the past weeks, I wrote down the scriptures I chose for the weekly reading in my journal. But this week I didn’t. I typed the scriptures in the post as I chose them. That meant that everyday I needed to turn on my computer and open up my website to find what to read for the day. Yes, I’m reading with you. Everyday.
Today, I made my coffee, grabbed my Sweet-n-Salty bar, and turned on the computer only to realize the schedule was finished yesterday. (Duh!) It had become such a habit this week, that even though I knew I needed to post the new schedule today, I looked for the verse to read on the blog.
I’m not sure why I’m even sharing this, but it just seemed funny, and it’s so me. I’m a creature of habit. I thought one of you, if not many, might get a chuckle out of it or at least relate to my mindless actions.
I also wanted to let you know of a change. The Bite of Bread will post starting next week on Monday. Wednesday I’m starting a new post called Word Wednesday. I love digging into the ancient text of the Bible. So, each Wednesday I’ll focus on one scripture and one Hebrew or Greek word in that verse. The Bible breathes when it’s studied this way. I’m so excited to share this with you!
Fridays I’ll post an inspirations article as I’ve been doing on Mondays.
I pray the Bible readings this week speak deep into your spirit. You are loved. Chosen. Wanted. Called.
