Many of us want to read our Bibles everyday, but we don’t know what to read, and we don’t have a lot of free time to do so.
In case you are one of those people, here is a reading schedule for you. The suggested verses are short chunks of Scripture. I purposefully choose just a few verses so that you’ll be able to copy them in a notebook and then write down your thoughts…how the Word is speaking to you.
Scripture seems to go another level into my spirit when I write it down. I want to encourage you to try it. At least for a week.
You may have to get up thirty minutes earlier, take your lunch break by yourself, or turn off the T.V. in the evening to find time to read. But I promise, you won’t miss your sleep or lunch conversation or television because what you’ll be doing will fill you rather than take something from you.
I like to light a candle and grab my favorite journal, pen, and cup of coffee. Make it a date with the One who really “loves you more.”
Much grace,
andy
