Day 18 of our Immanuel reading plan. This isn't a Day 18 of our Immanuel reading plan. This isn't a typical Christmas verse, but isn't it so true? Even through the darkest valleys, even when our hearts are breaking, when grief has taken joy captive or when we're desperate for hope. . . those are the days He is with us. You may not be able to feel Him, but one day you will look back and realize His presence and His hand. Fear no evil. He is fighting battles for you and protecting you more than you know. Declare this truth out loud and experience His comfort. Jesus is with you. #christmashope #heiswithus #immanuel #faith #evil #comfort
This is one of my favorite promises from God. In a This is one of my favorite promises from God. In a letter written by Jeremiah sent to exiles in prison, God promises this. He tells them, "When you seek me with all your heart, you will find me. I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and bring you back from captivity. . . ." Most of us love the verses before this one promising good plans (Jer. 29:11). I love that one too, but I really love this promise that God wants us. He is not a God hiding in the shadows or trying to be mysterious. He wants us to find Him! Seek Him. Seek Him. Maybe you've found Him, but you are desperate for someone you love to find Jesus. This is a great verse to use in prayer. "Lord, I pray my friend, my son, my dad, my husband, my ________ will seek you because you promise they'll find you. Thank you. Amen." Do you need to pray this for you or for someone else? What does this promise tell you? (This was Day 10 of the Immanuel reading plan this month. He is faithful! Thanksgiving gives us a chance to He is faithful! Thanksgiving gives us a chance to remember all He has done this year for us. No matter if our Thanksgiving day table is filled with loved ones, or if it's not, He is faithful. He blesses us everyday, even when we don't know it. May we never forget we are blessed to be a blessing. I am thankful for my IG community. I love my #faithfriday friends who meet me every week with a cup of coffee and their Bibles.
