I was thirsty today.
My soul drank in these words like a plant in desperate need of water.
I hope they “water” you too.
Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, The Lord, is my
strength and my song;
He has become my salvation.
(Isaiah 12:1,2)
Where do we find our strength? And what do we sing? Often my strength is in “happiness” (everything going my way). But my song is at times sung in a minor key due to worries. I want to be consistent.
But if He is my strength and song, they depend not upon circumstances or how I am feeling at the time. If I am surrendered to His strength, I will trust and not be afraid. Worries fade and the song is beautiful because my song is then about Him not me.
One moment at a time.
Much grace and peace,
andy
