“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
~Ecclesiastes 3:11
Clouds like
Grey cardboard cutouts
Float among
Puffy cotton-balls
In a cerulean sky.
For a brief
Moment
My spirit
Is allured into
Their ethereal
Peace.
“Take me!”
I plead
Though life is good,
Blessed,
Contentment found
–most days.
Yet I still know
There is something
Better
Somewhere
In a world
I cannot
See.
Spirit talks to spirit
There is work
Yet to be
Done.
But my brief
Desire to go home
Promises me
That I am
His.
“We live by faith and not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”(2 Corinthians 5:7)
Have you ever experienced a heavenly moment like I did? Where were you?

Thanks, my Jan! I knew you would. I haven’t written a poem in a long time. It felt so good. Always think of you when I write poetry. :)
I have copied and will read next week (good intentions, anyhow) :) Clouds, like trees or the winds or birds or streams, which is where I find God most often, always make me think of “home”
Thanks for sharing Dawn! I’m right there with you. Nature always brings me closer to “home”.
What a beautiful poem, my Andy. I identify 500 percent! I love you, Jan.
