Often around 6:00pm big puffy clouds begin to form around Wilmington.This evening was no different. I love this time of day. Something nudged me to look up. There was a hole in the sky. But it wasn’t just any hole. The opening between two clouds had made a perfect circle that allowed a stream of sunlight to beam from the piece of blue. All I could think about was that it looked as if the radiance of heaven–God Himself–His Presence was shining through.
I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. It looked as if God’s huge hand could reach through the hole and pick me up. Of course that didn’t happen, but maybe He just wanted me to see Him in the ordinary, weary day. He was beautiful. it was a reminder of His Presence in heaven and with me on this earth. He can be two places at one time.
I drove out of the parking lot with a smile.
