No theme this week.
I’m just going with the flow of the Holy Spirit’s lead.
These are verses of worship, instruction, and promise–good stuff that can fill our hungry souls and give us something to chew on all day.
Unlike a piece of gum that provides no nourishment and looses its flavor, the Word of God never becomes stiff and tasteless, and it’s always packed with the vitamins our spirits need.
Light your candle, gather your Bible, a journal, and other books that God leads you to for your time with Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to prepare your heart to receive His truth. And of course, don’t forget that favorite morning brew. Personally, I’ve gotta have my coffee.
How did the challenge go last week? Did it help to light the candle, intentionally pen the verses down in ink, and spend five more minutes with Jesus?
Even though you didn’t hold me accountable. . . you did. I was more consistent last week with all of those things because I knew some of you were also doing them.
Does anyone want to join me in fasting one day a week for a month?
Leave a comment. If I have several of you who would like to join me, I’ll run a special blog post series to help us during a fast.
I feel the tug to pray over you for your week ahead. May I? Well, here it goes. . .
“Wonderful, holy, and kind Father-God, thank you for each set of eyes reading this prayer. God, I pray that this week my friends will experience your hand in their lives. I pray for breakthroughs, reconciliations, and provision. Lord, let them sense your Presence and pleasure. You delight over them. I pray they will experience moments of joy bubbling up even if life is difficult, and they are weary. Hold their hand. Make yourself known. Thank you for these verses. Breathe their truth into us. We love you. Thank you for the Holy Spirit and our Jesus. Amen.”
Don’t forget to leave a comment letting me know how the challenge went for you and if you want to fast with me.
Jesus loves you,
