Create in me a pure heart,
O God,
And renew a right spirit

It’s only Tuesday, but when emotions ride heavy on your heart, the week seems long. It’s only Tuesday? But I found refreshment and hope on my couch this morning. Sitting in the silence again. Doing nothing but listening for guidance. What do I read? What scripture, which devotion?
How I needed Psalm 51. I could not have orchestrated the words better myself. It is as if the Psalmist looked into my heart and knew exactly what to pray.
