|Do life’s problems have you stressed out?|
The learning possibilities are limited only by your willingness to be teachable. In faith, thank Me for your problem. Ask Me to open your eyes and your heart to all that I am accomplishing through this difficulty. Once you have become grateful for a problem, it loses its power to drag you down. (Jesus Calling, December 18).
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Cor. 4:16-18).
Three things are needed to accomplish what the quote and scripture above demand.
1. Eyes focused on the half of the glass that is full.
2. A heart that trusts in the goodness of God.
3. A mind that believes this world is temporary and heaven is around the corner.
I pray for eyes, hearts, and minds like these for all of us. Then we will be free to make a difference in this world for eternity. If the enemy of our hearts can keep us focused on our problems, he stops us from fulfilling our God given destiny. I don’t want to miss my 5 minute starring role in the play searching for a lost contact. (Metaphorically speaking.) Nor do I want to miss my lines because fear took my voice.
God has a purpose for each of us today. Only His purposes fulfill and go with us for eternity. Thankfully, broken bodies, hearts, and _______________(fill in the blank with your problem) will not.
Much grace and peace,
(Re-post- December 2011)
