How are you doing with the prayer challenge?
Since I gave the challenge, I have been given prayer requests of 2 ladies with lung cancer. One is 24 weeks pregnant with a 4 year old son. She has been diagnosed with stage 3.
The other is an 86 year old who has come to my Thursday night Bible studies. She told me yesterday she was given 3 to 4 months to live if she does not have treatment.
I was shocked. But not defeated.
Last year, I wouldn’t have felt so confident in praying for these two women. Many of you know my sister died of lung cancer- non-smoker at age 50. Her death knocked me off my prayer horse. This prayer warrior did not have faith or strength to pray with any confidence especially for those with cancer.
But today is a different day. I’m trusting the Lord with the lives of these precious women. And something in me feels a confidence that they are going to be okay. My prayers and the prayers of many have been heard for their healing.
What has God sent your way for prayer during this challenge?
Love to hear from you.
Much grace and peace,
andy
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for the Lord is unfailing love…(Psalm 130:5-7a).
