I opened up a treasure box today.
Its ancient structure held the most beautiful of jewels.
They weren’t the kind I’d form into a diamond ring.
Earrings or necklaces they won’t be;
Their beauty went beyond my eyes
Into my heart.
Jewels mined from the caverns of heaven
Through eons of faith lived out
Spoken first by God then gleaned and reproduced by
Men and women seeking greater treasure beyond this world.
What would I do without my
Bible?
