Are You Worried? Busy? Lonely? Tired?

Clouds reflecting the promise of the new day…

The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. “The sorrows for the appointed feasts I will remove from you; they are a burden and a reproach to you…” says the Lord.

Hushed
Zephaniah 3:17

How could i ever worry?
How could i ever doubt?
Forgive me Lord,
The Lord who is mighty to save.
The Lord who takes great delight
in me.

i am hushed by the
demonstration of your love.
Your love made visible in
Jesus.

But i am also hushed,
My questions and petitions silenced by
 Your faithfulness.
Your goodness.
The fact that you sing over
me.

Open my ears to your
voice.
As i close my eyes and strain to hear
The melody is yet too
Faint to pick out the tune,
But the words are clear.

“I love you.”
“Rest.”

My Marys,

I hope you will make Zephaniah 3:17 yours. This poem is written in first person, but it is for you too. He loves you. He sings over you. He is good.

What do you need to rest from? What do you need to trust Him with in your life?

Much love,
andy
