Women’s Restoration Mini Retreat

beauty for ashes

We had a Spirit-filled, fun, worshipful, and downright sweet time at our Beauty for Ashes retreat in February. Due to many requests, we are holding a mini retreat August 20, 2016 to fill you all up and prepare you for the season of football, holidays, gift buying, and hectic schedules.

Sometimes you need a vacation from your vacation. This retreat is being held at a strategic time–just as summer winds down and busy schedules begin.

There will be shopping with local vendors (get a jump on Christmas gifts!), a prayer walk along the Cape Fear River, inspirational teachings, and anointed worship.

When: August 20, 2016

Time: 9:00 AM -4:00 PM

Where: The beautiful Watermark Marina, Wilmington, NC

Cost: $25 (includes a box lunch)

I’m hosting this retreat with my good friend and dear sister in faith, Venus. I’m so thankful for her. We’re excited about what God did in February and what He has planned for this August retreat. It’s our hearts desire for God’s daughters to know how very much He loves them. We can’t wait to bring the Word He has for you.

Speakers:Venus Schrader has spent the past seven years in pursuit of emotional healing, from the traumatic events of her childhood. On the brink of throwing in the towel on life and God, she received the revelation that she was Daddy’s Girl. This opened the door to a process of healing that has forever changed her life. She has lead women’s Bible studies, taught Sunday school, and ministered to the homeless, runaway teens, and single moms. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, while exploring the wonders of life. Venus is the mother of four adult children–a handsome son and three beautiful daughters, and she has four precious grandchildren. She lives in Wilmington, NC, with her husband Randy and two granddaughters. Find the life lessons she is learning while she seeks God’s face at godsgirlsdontweartutus.blogspot.com

Andy Lee has ministered to women for over twenty years through Bible studies, retreats, conferences, and just being a friend. She’s been a Language Arts teacher, stay-at-home-mom, military spouse, assistant pastor, and an aerobics instructor (for a month). She is the author of two new books, The Book of Ruth Key Word Bible Study: A 31-Day Journey to Hope and Promise (AMG Publishers) and A Mary Like Me: Flawed Yet Called (Leafwood Publishers, Spring 2016). More importantly, she is the mother of three grown baby birds who recently flew from the nest. Andy lives in Wilmington with her husband Mike and kitty named Hank. She loves to walk on the beach and get her feet sandy and believes that if you live at the beach, sand in the car and house is a prerequisite.
