Pray for a Stronghold

“The LORD is my light and my salvation–

whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life–

of whom shall I be afraid?”

(Psalm 27:1)

It all boils down to this verse.

When anxiety crashes over your heart, when the one you depend on is no longer there, or when you don’t know where your next pay check will come from.

That’s when we must let go of the worries and our striving, and we must trust that even if the worst of the worst of our fears happens, we have “salvation security” simply by faith.

They say that nothing in this world is free. But they missed Christianity.

What’s our stronghold? What are we desperately trying to hold onto? I pray we cling to the belief of the goodness and kindness of God demonstrated through the image of the invisible God, Jesus.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God accept our own belief system, our doubts of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

So, I will say it again:

“The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid?”

Pray for a stronghold.

Pray to trust Jesus with everything.

Amen!

What is the stronghold you struggle against? How can I be praying for you?
