He Knows

“He has to have the most wonderful laugh ever! He created laughter! He is the author of ‘funny’! Can you imagine what God’s laugh sounds like?”

                                                                      ~Lauren Lee

I think He is laughing at me.

Just the other day I was worrying about staying on my budget which has been blown on extra Christmas things I have indulged in buying. Gifts, sweets, baking, eating out because I’m too busy to cook etc.

I realized I didn’t plan well in the meat dept. for our meals, and I was either going to have to make the trek and fight the traffic across town back to Costco and spend more moo-lah or get VERY creative. I don’t think I said it out loud, but I thought, “Meat isn’t just going to appear. I’m going to have to go back to the dreaded store and spend more money.”

God must have laughed.

Guess what was on my porch this morning at 5:30?

Yep. A box full of beef straight from Texas sent as a gift from my brother-in-law who is a cattleman/farmer. (Smile)

One of Mike’s co-workers is also gifting us with Omaha steaks.

Funny.

So funny.

My beef loving boys won’t just be eating hamburgers or chicken during Christmas break but STEAK! Ye of little faith. Meat can fall from the sky.

So don’t worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat? or ‘What shall we drink? or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (Matthew 6:31-34).

Grace and peace,
andy
