Bite of Bread: Encouragement for Your Heart

Sometimes I need heart encouragement.

Do you haves those days too? Days when good is all around you, but like a warning sign on your car’s dashboard, your heart is telling you that something needs maintenance.

I’m finding that even when wonderful things are swirling around me, spring has arrived, Easter has been celebrated, and the year is filled with promise, I still have my days when my heart just hurts.

It hurts for the relationships that aren’t quite what they should be. It hurts for friends fighting battles that just won’t go away, and it hurts because I can’t change things.

[tweetability]I know I simply need to stop trying so hard and let God be God.[/tweetability]

Grab a pen and jot these verses down or pin them on your Pinterest board. I’ll have them posted on my Fellowship page too. Either read them daily, or if you want more to read each day choose a few to read together. Journal, turn them into prayers, and let the Word of Life encourage your heart this week.

Remember, I’m reading with you.

Bite of Bread heart encouragement

I don’t normally ask for prayer on my posts; these are written to encourage you. But may I ask you to pray for me this week?

How can I pray for you?

Much love,

Andy, your devotional so often leads me to a scripture that fits my need. Your insights help me to look at things with a better perspective. I surely will pray for you this week. I am writing pray for Andy right next to the list of scriptures for this week.
