Benjamin Franklin’s Epitaph

This was sent to me by a good friend. I loved it and had to share it with my readers. I think old Ben had the right idea. He knew this is not home.

The body of

                    B. Franklin, Printer

               (Like the Cover of an Old Book

                    Its Contents torn Out

          And Stript of its Lettering and Gilding)

                 Lies Here, Food for Worms.

               But the Work shall not be Lost;

        For it will (as he Believ’d) Appear once More

              In a New and More Elegant Edition

                    Revised and Corrected

                       By the Author.

Today’s Scripture: May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it. (1 Thess. 5:23-24)
