A Prayer for Israel

On Friday I placed a link on my post explaining the threat building around Israel. I hope many of you took time to watch it. If you didn’t please do.

I saw even more disturbing news on t.v. last night concerning the borders. More violence. More threats. More hatred for our fellow Jews.

You might feel as helpless about the situation as I do. And you might be wondering why I’m even posting this on my blog. What can we do?

We can pray.

This was part of the daily Bible I read today. Though I’m two days behind, this was an answer to my question of how to pray. I love God’s timing. Won’t you pray this with me?

I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
Our feet are standing
in your gates, O Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is built like a city
that is closely compacted
together.
That is where the tribes go up,
the tribes of the Lord,
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statutes given to
Israel.
There the thrones for judgment
stand,
the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be
secure.
May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.”
For the sake of my brothers and
friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord
our God
I will seek your prosperity.

Amen.

Thanks for praying with me.

Much love,

andy
